  • What's being built: new house, pool, granny flat, extension, demolition and so on
  • Where: address, suburb and council
  • How big: the estimated cost of the work, as lodged
  • When: the approval date and the official application number

Approvals are public records. Please contact owners politely and lawfully: a letterbox note or a knock is fine, and never say you're from the council.

Questions

Which areas do you cover? Every council area in NSW, because the information comes from the NSW Planning Portal, which all NSW councils have used since 2021. Other states may come later; for now it's NSW only.

Are these approved jobs, or just applications? Mainly approved complying development certificates (the fast-track approvals most homes and renovations go through), plus development applications once the council has decided. If you'd also like brand-new applications (earlier, but not yet decided), say so when you sign up.

Does anyone else get the same leads? The records are public, so other subscribers in your area and trade may see them too. The advantage is hearing about them in the same week, every week, without searching.

Can I change my areas or trade later? Yes. Just reply to any email with the change.

What happens after the free month? We email you a payment link for $49 a month, which covers all three services. If you don't use it, the emails stop. Nothing is charged automatically.
